Forward Deployed Engineer, Construction
You run a client engagement end to end. The diagnostic with the controller, the project manager, and the superintendent. The build, inside the systems the firm already runs. The adoption, until the tools are part of how the job gets done. You own the outcome and the number attached to it.
What you will do
- Lead two to three general contractor engagements at a time, from the first working session to the ninety-day review.
- Trace a firm's workflows from the trailer to the front office and identify every one that is broken.
- Configure and extend Hesiod's tools on the client's own documents: pay application gates, submittal and RFI checks, field capture, project assistants.
- Sit with superintendents and controllers until the tools are habits. Adoption is the deliverable.
- Bring what you learn on each job back into the method and the product.
Who does well here
- You have run construction work: project engineer, project manager, or construction manager on civil, industrial, or building projects. You know what a kicked-back submittal costs and who gets the call.
- You build things with software. Scripts, data pipelines, model-driven tools, or production code. You are comfortable with APIs, documents, and large language models as working materials.
- One of those is your strength and the other is real. Both is ideal.
- You are credible in a job trailer and in a controller's office on the same day.
